The BMW M6 started to be produced in 1983, by placing the the engine of the M1 into the chassi of a 6 series. The original M6 produced 282hp and achieved an incredible top speed of 158mph/255kph. The new M6 produces the same 560hp of the M5 because it uses the same engine, but it offers a more slick body and a more elegant package overall compared to the M5. The M6 variants are the E28, E66 and F12.
